Booking and payment

• A place in the Field Term is held by a $150 deposit, paid by bank transfer against an invoice. If your plans change it transfers to another program or a later term.
• I invoice the balance separately and it’s due before the first session.
• A place isn’t confirmed until the deposit comes through.
• Family Field Day mornings are invoiced per morning and paid before the session.
• The sibling discount is 10% off each additional child, on the Field Term.

Forms I need before the first session

For the Field Term, a completed consent form and a medical and emergency information form for each child. A child can’t take part without both. The Family Field Day doesn’t need them — a parent or carer is there the whole morning.

If your child needs their own emergency medication, it has to be in date, in their bag, at every session, with a current action plan — otherwise they can’t take part that day. I don’t carry or supply medication.

If you need to pull out

You don’t lose your place in TerraWander. If something changes and you have to withdraw — before the term starts or partway through — you have an automatic spot in the following term, and whatever you’ve paid for sessions that haven’t run yet comes with you as credit towards it. Just let me know as early as you can.

The credit is for the following term, so please use it then rather than leaving it sitting. I don’t refund sessions that have already run, and the $150 deposit isn’t refunded either — but it transfers the same way, to another program or a later term.

If I cancel a session

• A session cancelled for weather or anything else runs the following Thursday, and everything shifts a week. Thursday 10 December is held spare for that.
• Sessions are cancelled in extreme heat, on a total fire ban affecting the site, or if a reserve is closed.
• I’ll let you know by email and text as early as I can on the day.
• Every session you’ve paid for gets delivered.

Behaviour and safety

Sessions run outdoors in public reserves, in small groups, staying on paths and open ground and in sight, with no water activities. A child who repeatedly won’t follow the safety rules puts the group at risk, and I’ll talk to you about it before it becomes a problem. In rare cases I might need to end a child’s participation. If that happens I’ll refund the sessions not yet delivered.
